We’re proud to present, for the second year in a row, our gooseberry IPA, a guest collaboration. Gray’s Gooseberry IPA, is our signature Engrained IPA blended with freshly picked gooseberries courtesy of one of our longtime regulars, Gray.
Gray, who has been a frequent guest since our opening, stumbled upon a gooseberry bush during a hunting expedition. Enthralled by the memory of baking gooseberry pies and cobblers with his mother and grandmother, Gray returned to the bush and harvested the ripened gooseberries. He now grows them in his backyard. Gray, a long-time fan of our blackberry lager, suggested we brew a gooseberry beer and the rest is history!
The addition of Gray’s gooseberries to our signature IPA brings the origins of our 100% locally hopped beer even closer to home.
Enjoy this fruity IPA in our standard pint glass or try it on Gray’s suggested beer paddle alongside our Shandy, Shandberry, and Blackberry Lager.
Though you can’t go wrong pairing our beer with any of our menu items, Gray suggests pairing the Gooseberry IPA with our loaded potato cake appetizer, our signature Farmhand Burger and our locally sourced vegetable of the day -- with his eight years of experience, we consider that expert advice!
