Best Flatbreads in Town Found Here

A pizza by any other name tastes just as great (if not better)!

Engrained Brewery & Restaurant flatbreads are the best in Springfield, Illinois! Our flatbreads have become increasingly popular with guests to our affordable farm-to-table restaurant, which celebrated five years in August.

What is the difference between a flatbread and a pizza? Well, there is not an official definition that separates the two. Both have a bread crust, a variety of toppings, and are popular food choices in eateries across the US.

But here's what makes our flatbread the best in Springfield- the taste, the locally sourced produce, and the house-made dough. Our dough is made from scratch using our own German Lager brewed onsite. Our German Lager is our lightest beer and was a Silver Medalist in the 2018 Best of Craft Beer Awards. It’s a traditional all barley Munich Helles German Style Lager and is available year rounds along with our Blackberry Lager, Hefeweizen, IPA, and Irish Red Ale. The Hefeweizen, a classic German wheat beer with hints of banana and clove, was the Silver Medalist in the Best of Craft Beer Awards 2016.

Among our selection of flatbreads is the Donation Creation, which is one of our current community support initiatives. Every month we partner with a different charitable organization in the community to create a new flatbread option. We give back $1 of each order to the nonprofit. If you are interested in partnering with us, please apply here. Currently, our flatbread menu also consists of the Margherita, Housemade Sausage, Hawaiian, Four Meat (sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and ham), and Chef’s Favorite (pepperoni & pepperoncini).

All of our flatbreads use 100% local beef and pork from family farms within an 85-mile radius. We believe not just in brewing the best craft beer in central Illinois and and serving the best flatbreads in town, but also supporting local farmers that use sustainable practices so we can leave the planet better than we found it. So, whether you’re passing by on Interstate 72, making a trip to Scheels across the road from us, or you’re a local looking for a microbrewery with great food and service, stop in and order a flatbread (or two)!
